I've added a link in the sidebar for Carl Ralph's Harbor-Belle Nandina and other information on his website. It is my understanding that this particular Nandina is great for shade.
Perhaps he will tell us more about his various plant introductions and how this came about.

Since we have almost 80% shade, we will certainly try out "Carl Ralph Rushing's Harbor-Belle Nandina."
